Braddock, PA -- A day after Senate Republicans introduced a national ban on abortions after 15 weeks, and Sen. Lindsey Graham said he “can assure” that there will be a vote on this bill if Republicans win the House and Senate, Dr. Oz still has not taken a position on the proposed ban.
Oz’s embarrassing statement did not take a position on the bill, instead evading the question.
Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman released the following statement:
“It’s been a day since Senator Lindsey Graham announced his bill to impose a nationwide ban on abortions after 15 weeks, and Oz has refused to answer whether he would vote for the bill.
“This is not some hypothetical — Senator Graham said during his press conference that the bill will come up for a vote if Republicans win the majority this November.
“We’re talking about a bill that would force women to give birth against their will, and put doctors in prison for 5 years for providing basic medical care. Oz owes the people of Pennsylvania an answer.”
