The Center for Biomedical Informatics & Data Science (CBIDS) spans two institutes at Northwestern: I.AIM and the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS). CBIDS is working to advance the applications of informatics, data science, and augmented intelligence (AI) to improve biomedical research and healthcare.
The vision of CBIDS is to create an integrated healthcare and research environment in which all available data are optimally leveraged for knowledge discovery and improved health. At CBIDS, we work with our clinical partners to bring AI discoveries into routine care, and to educate the next generation of biomedical informatics and data science researchers. For researchers and students, CBIDS provides a wide range of services and support to assist Big Data research, analytics, and trial design.
