JUDITH´S BLOG
Financial Fitness for the New Year

Thanks to all of you who could attend our Financial Fitness for the New Year webinar hosted by Marina Hernandez of Crossborder Planner on January 28th. We covered how to best prepare for the 2020 US tax filing season and what tax changes American expats can expect under President Biden`s administration.

The presentation slides and a reply link of the webinar can be accessed through the Crossborder Academy’s webpage.

We had 28 people in the webinar coming from AICZ, the American Women`s Club of Zürich, American International Club of Geneva and other clubs that are part of the Association of American clubs (i.e. Lisbon, Berlin, Brussels and Madrid).
The American Spirit Lives On

When Dan Zwerski, originally from Florida, relocated from Geneva to Zurich, he needed lodging until his move was complete. He chose Hotel St.-Georges in central Zurich for its affordability, cleanliness, and friendly staff.

Fast forward to COVID times and a news segment featured Fanny Renaud, the general manager of Hotel St.-Georges, and her challenges. Dan told us, “As an American, I suppose we are somewhat hardwired to step up and help when people need help. So that’s what I decided to do.”

Dan is a strategy and marketing consultant and offered to help Fanny, at no charge, develop a concept of “home office away from home” for people having difficulty forced to work at home yet bring much-needed revenue to the hotel. A win-win for everyone! If you find it challenging to work from home and want to support Fanny and the Hotel St.-Georges, learn more about this attractive option for our COVID times and go to the home office page on the Hotel St.-Georges website. https://bit.ly/2YkXQjg
