2017 Lachs Moot Problem Published

The 2017 Lachs Moot problem has been published: http://www.iislweb.org/docs/2017problem.pdf

The case involves a dispute between Perovsk and Titan, historically peaceful neighbors on Earth, who find themselves in an emotionally charged conflict on the Moon involving lunar facilities, liability for damage, and space mining. Several novel aspects are involved including a withdrawal from the Outer Space Treaty and an agreement by the parties to permit the Court to decide one set of issues ex aequo et bono.

25 Years of the Manfred Lachs
Space Law Moot Court Competition

The Moot Court Committee invites all IISL Members and friends to celebrate the 25 anniversary of the competition in a brief reception that will take place after the afternoon sessions on Wednesday 28 September, in the E-8 room of the Congress Centre (area of posters and interactive presentations). This will be a great opportunity to also view the Interactive Presentations on space law.

On September 29, the world finals of the 2016 Manfred Lachs Competition will be held at University of Guadalajara, Alberga al Paraninfo
