IISL Membership Dues 2016-2017

At the annual meeting held in Jerusalem, it was decided to increase the annual membership for individuals from Euro 60 per year to Euro 75 per year. It also was decided, at the recommendation of the Audit Committee, that the period covered by the dues be changed from calendar year to fiscal year to be consistent with the fiscal year of the Institute.

Consequently there needs to be a transition for dues for calendar year 2015 (ending December 31, 2015) to the next Fiscal Year 2017 (which begins
1 August 2016).  As you can see, the transition leaves a gap between the end of Calendar Year 2015 and the beginning of Fiscal Year 2017 of seven months. Seven months’ dues at Euro 75 per year equals Euro 43.75.

In order to reduce paperwork for the transition, and to avoid a cash shortage just before the beginning of the next IAC in Guadalajara, we have decided to issue one invoice to members that would cover both the gap and the next fiscal year.

Therefore individual members should expect to receive an invoice for Euro 118.75 to cover the periods from January 1, 2016 through July 31, 2016 (Euro 43.75), and for the Fiscal Year 2017 (August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017,
Euro 75.00). We also will be asking members to voluntarily increase their contribution to Euro 120 to help cover deficits from the past few years.

Lastly, at the General Assembly, it was agreed to allocate 10% of all newly collected dues to the Young Scholars Fund.
