Feeling a bit daunted by your first philosophy paper or formal lab report? Need help perfecting a cover letter or spiffing up a resume? Have no idea how to tackle the ambiguous prompt your professor just passed out? Come visit the Writing Center on Lau 2!
The Writing Center offers FREE tutoring services to all Georgetown students for any and all written work. Whether you are putting the finishing touches on your paper or just starting an outline, we are here to help you along the way.
The Academic Resource Center has a two-fold mission:
1) to provide accommodations to students with disabilities as a means to ensure equity and access to programs and facilities, and
2) to offer academic assistance to students by providing study skills workshops, tutoring services in the area of foreign languages, and individual consultations.

The Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP) serves Georgetown students that are often the first in their families to attend college, and come from a lower income background. They are true trailblazers both at home and on campus. GSP provides its students with the resources and opportunities that will help them to succeed at Georgetown and beyond.  Within GSP, students have access to an accomplished alumni network, career assistance, mentoring programs, campus connections and more.
It is with great excitement that we bring you Georgetown Mobile, the app that empowers its students and staff with information about Georgetown and New Student Orientation (NSO) at the palm of their hand. Be sure to download it in the App Store for iOS and Android devices by searching "GU NSO" before arriving to the Hilltop!

Aloha Jack!

I am an incoming freshmen at Georgetown. I am excited to read The Hired Man! Will students be sent a copy of the book?

Thank you so much,

Hi @LiveLoveLau1634,

Georgetown University and the Marino Workshop do not purchase the book for students - students are expected to self-fund the purchase.

The book can be found in hardcover, paperback, and digital versions, as well as should be found in most local libraries. We apologize for any inconvenience in this purchase. The Marino Committee is cognizant of this self-funded purchase, and attempts to select a book that is available in many different formats.
