New Sermon Series:

The Call to be a Courageous Christian

Sunday, January 9 at 9:00 & 10:30 AM

Be Blessed ~ Matthew 5:1-12, Dale Flowers preaching

What does it mean to live up to the words of Jesus?  A composite of Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5-7, known as The Sermon on the Mount, helps us understand the nature of the gospel and who we are meant to be as followers of Jesus in today’s world.

Out of concern for Covid safety given the highly contagious omicron variant we have discontinued food and beverage service after worship for the month of January.  Thank you for your understanding and support of this decision.

No Second Sunday evening worship this month.

It’s time to put away the See’s Candy and holiday desserts! 2022 is here and elementary kids are beginning a new series on Self-Control-choosing to do what we should do instead of what we want to do. Not an easy task! But fortunately, kids will discover as they follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit can give them the power and wisdom to trust God and make the wise choice.

Adult Ed Class: Isaiah's Hope

Taught by Tim Stafford

Starts January 9 at 10:30 AM in Room 113

In these difficult times we could use a dose of well-grounded hope. Isaiah provides it--lots of it. His times were as bleak as ours, and more. And he sees quite clearly what is wrong. But he portrays bright hope in beautiful, thoughtful terms. This six-week class will be meditative, providing plenty of space to think about how we can apply Isaiah's words to our own rancorous era.
