Staying Connected

During this time of social distancing to help contain the spread of the Corona virus, our communications are essential tools for staying connected as a church family.  Please visit our website regularly for updates to these specific features:

Blog: This
is a daily (Monday through Saturday) recording from elders, deacons, church leaders, and staff offering “Words of Encouragement and Hope.

Worship with Us Online: A new banner is featured at the top of our website inviting you to join us Sunday mornings for a weekly version of worship. Last week our worship team gathered in the sanctuary to compose it. This Sunday’s version will be pieced together from individual contributors collaborating to provide a place to connect for worship.

Keeping in Community: This a new community space designed to share ideas for spiritual growth and family life during this unusual time.
It includes videos, music links and other fun stuff on spiritual life and church community. This page complements our online worship and “Words of Encouragement and Hope” designed to buoy our spirits, soothe our souls, and keep us feeling connected while we “shelter-in-place.” Access this page from our website by clicking the button "Keeping in Community."

The Importance of Faithful Giving
by Ann Hall

As Finance Coordinator, I want to remind you of the importance of faithful giving. Income our church receives to operate comes exclusively from church offerings and contributions of our members and friends. When weekly offerings are not received, we don’t have funds to use for basic expenses such as staff salaries, utilities, and other necessities.

In the February we experienced a severe drop in donations (<$30,000) and now, we have discontinued meeting for worship for the next several weeks. If we continue to experience a decline in giving, Session will be put in the position of making hard decisions regarding our church budget which could potentially include staffing reductions.

Here is a brief overview of ways to continue giving faithfully to our church, or if you have not been a regular giver, ways to begin:

  • Mail a check to the church: Check deposits will be delayed for a time
  • Banking online: You can add the church to your “automatic payments” by contacting your bank and setting up an ongoing weekly, monthly, or quarterly payment. Your bank will then send a paper check to us. You can change the amount or frequency any time.
  • Online Giving:  At bottom of the main page of our website, you can click  Online Giving to give securely through this portal using a credit card.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

The Lord is my solid rock, my fortress, my resuer. My God is my rock  - I take refuge in Him! He's my shield, my salvation's strength, my place of safety.
