Goodbye 2020

We know January 1, 2021 is just another day and that the change of a calendar year does not remove the prior year’s challenges. However as years go, 2020 is one we are glad to see come to an end.  Our circumstances at the start of 2021 are much the same as the end 2020, but our sense of hope is stronger, our resolve to live better is greater, and our faith in God is more essential than ever.
In the coming year with increased distribution of the coronavirus vaccine, we look forward to the day we will return to in-person worship and gatherings of our church family.  Meanwhile, we continue to remain steadfast in observing health and safety precautions and provide worship and spiritual growth opportunities online.  We also encourage you to keep in community and offer care and support to one another.

Our pattern is to celebrate the Lord’s Supper the first Sunday of every month and on significant days in the Christian Year.  On the first Sunday of the new year we make the entire worship service an expanded celebration of the sacrament integrating songs, Scripture, and prayer around this observance.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. ~John 14:1-3
