Movie Night on Zoom

Friday, July 17 at 7pm, Just Mercy (PG-13)

We invite you to view the 2019 movie Just Mercy in advance of our meeting.  Just Mercy, a powerful film based on a true story, tells of a racially-biased injustice to a man of color who is wrongly convicted of murder and condemned to death and of his lawyer’s efforts to exonerate him.  At our gathering, this movie will provide us with the opportunity to begin discussions of a topic that is important generally and particularly timely right now.

The film is currently streaming on Amazon, YouTube and Google Movies (and possibly other streaming sources) or you could obtain the disc from Netflix or Redbox machines at many grocery or other retailers.  Some streaming sources are making it available for free for a limited time.  Also, we will have a limited number of copies available to view from your home. If you want to join us, please email Allie (or call 707-890-8010) because we will be sending out some additional information prior to our Zoom gathering.  Contact Allie Shoulders also if you want to borrow one of the copies of the disc. We do not have the capability to show movies on Zoom at this point.

EnlightenUp! - Sunday, August 2 at 7pm on Zoom
Engineering Design and the Universe We Live In
Professor Charles E. Hunt, University of California – Davis

To quote Dr. Hunt, "Regardless at which scale the universe is examined, from the sub-atomic quantum particle to the intergalactic extrema (about 14 billion light years, by current observation), it is clear that everything within it is graced not only with function but with form.  As an engineering professor for over three decades, it is clear to me that exquisite form and function cannot occur through random processes.  It is the product of careful, deliberate design and fabrication.  As a person of faith, I find the 'Designer and Builder' in all that can be seen. This talk will share some key examples, and how these things bolster faith.”

We Support

When it comes to tracking or reviewing your giving record, we are ready to assist you in every way. At any time, you have direct access to your personal giving record, through our secure church database-CCB.  If you need assistance with logging into your profile (via the church database) contact Ann Hall, Finance Coordinator and she will help you complete this process.

In an effort save postage and reduce paper, we send only one printed giving statement at the end of each year.  The 2020 giving statement which covers donations for the entire calendar year, will be sent the first week of January 2021.

However, if you desire to receive a printed financial statement either on a scheduled basis (such as semi-annually or quarterly) or a one-time basis, we are happy to accommodate your request. We can either mail you a statement for any time period you choose or email your statement as a PDF document.

Thank you for your faithful and generous support of FPCSR.
