As you can see above, we are keeping busy improving the vineyard. The installation of drain tile in some new Pinot Noir plantings on our lower parcels will allow for proper long-term growth of these vines.

Some Brief Thoughts...

We are hopeful that you and your loved ones are staying safe as this Covid-19 emergency continues. Lucky for us, our first responders are courageously caring for our loved ones in such an unselfish way. Fortunately there are now some positive signs on the horizon that this deadly attack upon our lives is starting to subside. Let’s all try to do our best to make that happen.

Meanwhile we have been hard at work in the vineyard working on all of the jobs that have to be taken care of no matter what the circumstances. The good news thus far is that we seem to have come through the winter with a minimal amount of bud damage. We are getting the vines pruned and tied and they look great this year. We continue to install hundreds of feet of new drainage tile in order to optimize the potential of our terrior. Every time I get on my excavator I am amazed by the diversity of the the soil types we are so lucky to have for our vines. This soil diversity is one of the main positive attributes of our viticultural region.

Soil, water, sunshine and lots of hard work by dedicated crews and growers all combine to make our little viticultural region a very special place. I am grateful to be a part of it.
