Aloha Kākou:

The Hawaiʻi Invasive Species Council (HISC) invites FY23 proposals for interagency projects that address critical invasive species issues in Hawaiʻi. The online application form will become available on Monday, May 2nd at 8:00 am HST, but you can review the application guidelines and eligibility now at https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/hisc/fy23-call-for-proposals/.

HISC Support Staff will be providing an informational webinar on May 4, 2022 at 12:00 pm HST about the FY23 HISC Funding Process and Application Guidelines. Please register for the webinar HERE. A recording of the webinar will also be posted to the FY23 Call for Proposals page.

The budgeting process for HISC funds includes several steps, including proposal submissions by applicants, evaluation by the HISC Resources Working Group which is comprised of staff representatives from each of the Council departments, preparation of a recommended budget, and review and approval by the voting Council members at a public meeting in August.

Applications must be completed online and submitted by 5:00 pm (HST) on June 3rd. If you have any questions, please contact Chelsea Arnott at chelsea.l.arnott@hawaii.gov.
