Celebrations & Fairs

What's on at Medway Fine Printmakers

Today it's time to celebrate one of our favourite festivals - the Mexican Day Of The Dead. We're really excited to be doing this again as it was so much fun last year. Come along to INTRA and you could print Día de los Muertos tote bags or bunting, make jewellery, cut out colourful banners, get your face painted, make shrines to remember someone you have lost, make masks, take part in a a drawing competition, decorate sugar skulls and more. It's a lovely event for old or young. Some of the activities are free, others between £1 and £8. Read more...

On December 13th we'll be having a print fair, going by the traditional name - a Wayzgoose! There will be stalls selling prints, cards and hand printed gifts, a tombola with great prizes including places on courses, and we'll have demonstrations of our presses and a chance for you to try your hand at printing.

It's 20:20 print exchange time again and after some feverish work from 15 participants from Medway Fine Printmakers, we've sent off hundreds of prints to Hot Bed Press to be distributed to over 40 print studios across the land. In a couple of weeks we'll be getting back a nice big package of prints, so that we can see what the other participants have been up to. Our contributions are show above, and we'll have some of these prints on sale at the December Wayzgoose Print Fair, as well as prints from artists working at the other studios. Read more...
