Student Success: Trustee Training Sessions

Trustee training sessions focusing on "The Role of Trustees in Student Success"  are being held across the state. So far, 9 of the 19 sessions have been conducted-- 27 college trustee boards and about 180 trustees have participated. The training sessions have received an overwhelmingly positive response, and evaluations have indicated that trustees felt like the sessions were well worth their time.  If you were not able to attend the session where your college was assigned, you are welcome to attend another session if your schedule allows.  Click here to view the training schedule, and contact Julie Woodson (919-467-9754 x222) if there is another session you would like to attend.

The North Carolina General Assembly reconvened for the 2014 Short Session on Wednesday, May 14, to focus on the state's budget and budget-related issues.  Governor Pat McCrory has released his proposed budget, and legislators are working to develop their own version of a state-spending plan.  NCACCT will be monitoring the proposed budgets and other legislative matters as they impact our colleges and will provide updates during the session.
