Business as usual...

Further to our recent communication regarding the next stage in the development of the practice, we wanted to take this opportunity to assure you that it's business as usual here at Slaters.
We also wanted to do a quick introduction to Simon Barratt who is now assuming responsibility for the day to day management of the practice.

Personal allowances and tax bands

Reduction in Corporation Tax

The main rate of corporation tax is currently 20% and this rate will continue for the Financial Year beginning on 1 April 2016.

Business Rates

The Chancellor has announced cuts on business rates for half of all properties in England from 1 April 2017.

Lifetime ISA

A new Lifetime ISA will be available from April 2017 for adults under the age of 40.  Individuals will be able to contribute up to £4,000 per year and receive a 25% bonus from the government.

National Minimum Wage rises

From 1 April 2016 following the introduction of the National Living Wage all workers aged 25 and over are legally entitled to at least £7.20 per hour.
