General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which come into force on 25th May 2018.

For your information, please download our updated privacy policy.

or click to read our updated privacy statement on our website.

In order to protect your personal data it will be no longer possible to send personal data to you via e-mail (with the exception of certain documents that we are able to password protect).

A number of you already use our electronic document system – Docsafe.
As the name suggests, it is a safe and secure way of passing correspondence between ourselves and provides a portal where you can download or retrieve letters or information. It is fast, reliable, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In future if you wish us to transmit documents to you electronically we will set you up on Docsafe.

All that is required is your e-mail address and once we set you up you will receive an e-mail asking for you to create a password.

Thereafter each time we upload a document to Docsafe you will receive an e-mail advising you that you have secure mail and a link to logon and enter your password.

Similarly you can upload sensitive data to Docsafe and then it automatically notifies us (and you can select the appropriate staff member to notify) that you have uploaded something for them to access. The system also allows you to electronically approve documents rather than having to return signed accounts, tax returns etc.

We will also be updating our engagement letters to reflect the change in legislation.

If you require any further information regarding GDPR or our Docsafe system please do not hesitate to contact either your client manager or myself.

Kind Regards

Simon Barratt - Director
