Date for 2017 Australian Food Safety Week announced and let us know what you did during Food Safety Week 2017

Next year’s Australian Food Safety Week will be held from 11 to 18 November 2017 so put it in your diaries. The theme will be chosen at our Planning Day to be held in Sydney (or by teleconference) in late May 2017 so now is a good time to become a member so you can join in this important decision making process.

Other dates for your diary

Our Review meeting/teleconference for members will be held in Canberra in early February. We will be issuing our Christmas and summer entertaining media release on 16 December 2016 and our Back to school and work media release mid January 2017. We still need sponsorship or charitable donations to help us cover the $1000 cost to issue each of these media releases to the broader media see how Even small amounts help so think of us when making your Christmas charity donations.
Thanks to everyone who took part in Food Safety Week 2016. If you haven’t already registered your event do let us know what you did during the 2016 Food Safety Week (however big or small) as this helps us with our evaluation and applications for funding. Please email us at a link of anything that you put on your websites, copies of newsletters and any media coverage you may have had.
Here are some examples of what happened in the community:
Rockhampton Council held a shopping centre event
Bega Council offered egg separators as a prize
