SIDIT a $50 Million Dollar Success Story

Over the past 10 years, SIDIT has disbursed $49.8 million into economic development initiatives in the Southern Interior, creating 2,609 jobs. SIDIT board chair Grace McGregor said 10 years later, SIDIT is proud to have sustained its initial funding allocation. As of March 31, 2016, SIDIT’s assets total $50.6 million. Read more....

We are pleased to announce that David Wilks of Sparwood, BC was appointed to SIDIT’s Board of Directors at the beginning of December, his term runs until the end of August 2018.

SIDIT invests in Business Advisory Services for Small to Mid-Sized Businesses

The Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust (SIDIT), a $50+ million trust fund, supporting Southern Interior initiatives over the past 10 years, has launched a new Business Advisory Service (BAS). SIDIT’s goal is to give small and mid-sized businesses located in the Southern Interior region the levels of business competence, confidence and contacts needed to accelerate growth. Read more...

SIDIT completes Legislative and Socio-Economic Review in 2016

SIDIT contracted Urban Matters Inc./Lochaven Management Consultants Ltd. to conduct an impact assessment to demonstrate and properly identify SIDIT’s successes.  The assessment analyzed SIDIT’s progress in order to support SIDIT in its efforts to reinforce the efficiency of its current programs, and to understand the impact of its programs on communities in the Southern Interior, as well as to promote transparency by ensuring clear accountability to SIDIT’s stakeholders.

SIDIT Partners with Atrium Ventures 

The Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust is proud to be supporting the emerging technology industry that is gaining momentum in BC with its $1,000,000 contribution to Atrium Ventures VCC Inc. seed technology fund.  Atrium aims to fill a critical gap for early-stage tech start-ups looking to raise equity capital.  Read more...

SIDIT Approves Grant Funding 

Golden Cycling Club, Golden, BC awarded $25,000 Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust Grant

The Golden Cycling Club is developing, and re-developing, a network of beginner level mountain bike trails on the shoulder of Mount 7 in Golden, BC. The network will include approximately 10 km of new trails. The trails begin in the Town of Golden and will be ideal for beginner mountain bikers, families with children, some trails will also be suitable for persons walking with baby strollers.
