February, 2016

Welcome to our February Newsletter - AGA Special!

Dear friend,

As we move into February of the new year, I would like to give you a brief update to what we, as a board have been up to.

The final preparations for the AGA papers have taken priority as we met for the last time, before the AGA, in Cologne. We implemented a new format for the papers which will follow closely the strategy of the Federation. The AGA papers can be downloaded here.

I would like to extend a special request to all our female members to consider running for a board position. This year in Glasgow we will be looking for 2 female board members at large and a General Secretary [Male or Female]. There is also a vacant position for male co-president, as Klaus Heusslein stepped down from the position last December, and finally a position for a male board member at large.

The EGLSF was also represented at the QFF 18th International Conference in
Gelsenkirchen, and were also present for all the kick off meetings for the Erasmus + projects which occurred last month.

The board have also spent the last number of months investigating the experiences of the participants at the 15th EuroGames in Stockholm. From the conclusions drawn from this investigation the board has put in place recommendations for future EuroGames host committees to ensure that the games will be the best possible experience for each participant. The Stockholm Investigation Report is available to download here.

The board is looking forward to meeting you at the AGA in Glasgow, and don't forget you can find all the information about the AGA here.
