It's December and we are enjoying the crisp weather!
Here are a few tips on staying healthy throughout winter :

- Drink lots of warm teas with lemon & ginger
- Enjoy soups with root veggies, squashes, sweet potato & experiment with herbs
- Get plenty of rest
- Stay hydrated with room temperature or slightly warm water
- Maintain your yoga practice to keep the joints healthy, and muscles supple
- Get fresh air
- Take 5 - 7 minutes daily to enjoy quiet time, focusing on your breath (indoors / outdoors)

Coming up! The Art of Relaxation w/Ann McMinn 
Sunday, Dec 15th from 4- 5:30pm  
Whether you are new to the notion of relaxation or have been honing your skills for years, we invite you to brush up on this art.
Relaxation is an ongoing practice and in order to stay current, you have to continue your being/doing in regular, daily life, stressful situations and most importantly, be able to summon your "relaxed self" at a moment's notice. 

These workshops have been given their title because there truly is an art to relaxing. It is rooted in the ancient practice of yoga. Learn new techniques to release muscle tension, free up the joints, calm and balance the mind with breathing and meditation. 
Welcome, Aksheta!

We are so pleased to welcome our newest member to our family at Studio Kailash!

Aksheta Kuttuva graduated from UT Dallas in May 2019 with a degree in psychology and will be starting graduate school in clinical psychology next year. She is trained in an Indian classical dance form called bharatanatyam and is excited to learn more about yoga, help around Studio Kailash, and teach a creative movement class for 3 to 5 year olds!

Aksheta's class will focus on incorporating dance movements, stretches, breathing, art, and storytelling for a fun way to help young children express themselves holistically.

Look out for info, classes beginning in January.
