St David's Minister's Missive

Dear St David's Church Family💒

What a wonderful celebration we had last Sunday as we shared Dominic's Dedication with his family and friends. And how good it was to see so many of us in the church. I thought the roof would lift off as we sang 'Morning has broken' with great gusto! Thank you to all of you who helped make it such a special occasion.

This Sunday is the fourth Sunday after Pentecost and it is also the beginning of Refugee Week. You will find the liturgy for the service here...

This week's prayer is from Sabeel Center, Jerusalem,

Merciful God,
whose Son became a refugee and had no place to call his own;
look with mercy on those who today are fleeing from danger –
homeless and hungry.
Bless those who work to bring them relief;
inspire generosity and compassion in all our hearts;
and guide the nations of the world towards that day
when all will rejoice in your commonwealth of justice and of peace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wherever you are and whoever you are, you are welcome in this place.
