Supporting Implementation Solutions

March 17, 2015
One of the biggest challenges to implementing educator evaluation and feedback systems that state leaders identified during our February convening was getting educators to take ownership of the system and use it as a tool for growing great teachers.

You can use our Elements of Evaluation tool to reflect on current state practices for engaging educators.

Take some time to think about:
  • What can my state do differently to engage educators in building an effective system?
  • How can my state incorporate educator feedback to improve the system?
  • What can my state learn from other states' practices?
You can also read about the science of improvement from Tysza Gandha, SREB senior researcher associate, who recently attended Carnegie's Summit on Improvement in Education.

In the coming weeks, we will continue to connect you with resources to address the challenges and solutions that state leaders identified.
