Specialist procurement lawyers, Richard Hough and Michael Winder from Brabners, are holding a workshop on current issues in public procurement law. Between them, Richard and Michael, who are members of the Procurement Lawyers’ Association, have significant experience of advising clients on a wide variety of public procurement law issues.
The workshop will take place from 2pm - 4pm on Thursday 25th February at 47-48 Hamilton Square, Birkenhead, CH41 5AR and will cover the following topics:
Pre-market engagement – the rules on what is permissible and how it can benefit a potential supplier
The Public Services (Social Value) Act
The procurement routes available – including the new innovation partnership
Key things a contracting authority should be doing in a tender process
What a potential supplier should be doing in a tender process
What to do when things go wrong or a supplier is unhappy with a tender result
There will be a small charge of £15 per person to cover the cost of the venue and refreshments will be provided on the day.
Richard is a member of the Procurement Lawyers’ Association, who provides specialist advice on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious EU public procurement matters. He has a wealth of experience in advising contracting authorities across a number of sectors, particularly registered providers of social housing and utilities.
Michael Winder | Associate
Michael is a commercial lawyer with a wealth of experience in advising on the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, with particular expertise on the application of EU procurement law and governance matters. Michael also has experience of providing legal advice and support on a range of service projects and framework agreements.
