Dear colleagues
Wishes for a happy, creative month. Last week saw the launching of a Facebook group called ELT Island. The group places particular emphasis on the dissemination of hints, tips and resources related to our profession, so those of you who are not members yet are very welcome to join.
Reading: I stumbled upon a really interesting article about a frozen highway that leads to (and away from) an ancient kingdom. Where is this place? Read and find out.
Grammar: this is the time of the year that we may have started agonizing over the causative form. So, if you aren’t torturing your students hard enough, here’s a couple of associated activities.
Video: Rowan Atkinson as the father of the bride. Beyond words!
Recipe: the simplest pizza in the world, by the one and only J.O.!
CD of the week Part 1: our Grammar series, A-Day, B-Day, C-Day and D-Day, spanning A - D senior classes, gives you all the theory and practice you will ever need. Get them at a discount, €20 instead of €30 per level, or €60 for the lot.
CD of the week Part 2: Spellschool Series, our e-readers, will equip your A-D class students with all the reading skills they need. €7 per level, €50 for all nine.
Educate, entertain, enjoy, innovate, share and never, ever, cease being awesome.
