Dear colleagues
Well on our way to the new school year I suppose! And, what do you know! No elections this weekend for a change! So, without further ado, here’s the stuff I put together for you this week.
First up, a National Geographic full feature on “De-extinction”. What the heck? Read and find out. Then stage a debate on the repercussions of such a venture.
Halloween is just around the corner - broadly speaking. Prepare for it, simultaneously offering an integrated skills lesson: listening, singing and cooking. View the video on how to make a paper-plate spider. Listen to the “itsy-bitsy spider” song and sing along. Finally, make spider-web cookies with your nursery classes.
On the training front! Flexible Multimedia offers the unique “Cockpit Project” workshop for free. At the end of the two-hour session, you will be able to manage ALL your teaching resources, both online and offline ones from ONE single desktop icon. Come along and see how. For the out-of-town attendants, a Skype session of the workshop is available. Let me know on time so I can create a Skype group.
Exhibition: the workshop attendants can browse through the approximately 80 Interactive Instructional Software titles by Flexible Multimedia CD-ROMs and purchase them at a 25 % discount. Click here to get a preview of our products.
Educate, entertain, enjoy, innovate, share and never, ever, cease being awesome.

CLIL is an approach that combines language learning with other subjects, seemingly unrelated to language but making their contribution by offering compelling input. The Joy of Teaching Newsletter will regularly feature articles on this approach, contributed by Mrs Papaioannou, Language School Owner, Teacher, Teacher Trainer and Author. Click here for the link to her first article:
