Honing Math Skills at Variety of Stations

George Mason school logoAlgebra 1 students are rotating through some different stations, completing a variety of activities. They are working to put functions in standard form, taking Ax+By=C, and putting it into y= and x= form. At another station, students are connecting situations with their function, graph, and input/output tables to form connections and practical understanding of the math. There was also a chance to improve math fluency and logic skills through KenKen puzzles.
The week has brought back into focus the need to articulate how closing and delay decisions are made in FCCPS. Be assured that when the decision is made to cancel or delay school, FCCPS is relying on the best regional and local information available. Winter weather in our region varies greatly (snow, sleet, freezing rain, extreme cold, ice storms) so each weather event requires careful consideration.
