EUROGEO @INSPIRE-GWF
EUROGEO is an institutional partner of the INSPIRE-Geospatial World Forum, which took place on 25-29 May 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal, World leaders from the geospatial industry sought to address how policies, technologies and applications are affecting the growth of geospatial industry. The conference addressed the need for greater coordination among policy makers, technology providers and users to benefit the industry and facilitate more informed decision making among stakeholders. SeaChange H2020 Project
EUROGEO is a partner in the SeaChange H2020 Project. The first full project meeting took place in Plymouth, UK. The project raises awareness of ocean literacy principles. More information will soon be available at http://www.seachangeproject.eu

Invitation To Members
EUROGEO members are invited to attend the June session of the Parliamentary Assembly and Conference of INGOs which will take place from Monday 22 to Thursday 25 June in Strasbourg, France. In the Assembly there will be speeches by UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, the President of Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, and the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. More

EMSEA Conference
The European Marine Science Educators Association's (EMSEA) 3rd Conference on Ocean Literacy in Europe will be held in Heraklion, Crete, from 28 September - 1 October 2015. The EMSEA Conference (organised by HCMR) will focus on evaluating actions and methods to develop citizens' ocean literacy as well as their impact on diverse audiences, including schools and aquariums. Geo For Good User Summit
NGOs can apply now to attend the 2015 Annual Geo for Good User Summit, a hands-on technical workshop hosted by the Google Earth Outreach team. It is designed for mapping and technology specialists in the public benefit sector, who are actively working on projects related to mapping. The summit takes place October 12-16, 2015 at Google Headquarters, Mountain View, California. Members should email Karl Donert if they are interested in applying. Members Win MYGEOSS
EUROGEO member organisation Gap Consult are winners of the first "MYGEOSS" competition organised by the European Commission. The aim is to develop GEOSS-based (Global Earth Observation System of Systems) smart Internet applications informing European citizens about changes affecting their local environment..Their proposal called "Geo-MAHA" - Geo Mobile Application for Hazard Alert notification and observation of hazard related events will integrate EU flood risk areas and fire index data on a mobile app with collaborative data entry and notification for different users. They will develop the app and present the end results in Mexico in November. More

Geography X 10 Publication
“Geography X 10” is a new publication by Felipe Calderon, which gives examples of the use of geographical analysis in real life projects. Each chapter describes a specific problem, the environment existing during its development and the methodologies used to solve it. This is a unique piece of work relating theoretical concepts to their applications in private, research and government companies. This publication shows methodologies such as mathematical programming, statistical regression, graph theory and multi-criteria matrices. More

Student Awards @FOSS4G
