Our newsletter provides updates from EUROGEO and its member organisations It provides information the the COP21 events being organised, the open access I-Use training course and Sea Change Project newsletter. Shaping Maptionnaire  

EUROGEO members Maptionnaire have announced some new features asked for by their customers and now coming to their product next year. These include many new languages, 3D questionnaires, heatmaps more customisation and inserting audio and video directly into maps using your mobile device. 3D Visualisation Project  

You can get your students engaged in an open source 3D visualization project, organised with the support of NASA! The competition is the Europa Challenge which this year has a focus on the INSPIRE Directive and to facilitate city needs, CitySmart. Climate Change COP 21

Virtual Issue - free access  

The Virtual Special Issue: Justice and the City has been made available until 31 December 2015. The issue focuses on progressive urbanisation and specifically the notion of the just city. This virtual special issue explores the debates and issues surrounding the relationship between cities and justice. Find out more 

GIS Ostrava 

EUROGEO is a supporting organisation of GIS Ostrava 2016. It will have the theme - the Rise of Big Spatial Data, paper and poster submissions are accepted until 20th December, 2015. All accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings by Springer as a part of the Lecture Notes in Geoinformation and Cartography SeriesKeynote speakers include Alex Singleton (Liverpool University), Martin Raubal (ETH Zurich), Prof. Gennady Andrienko and Natalia Andrienko (Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems). Find out more

Digital Earth Symposium 

The 9th International Symposium on Digital Earth was held in Halifax, Canada. with the theme “Towards a One-World Vision for the Blue Planet”. About 300 delegates from 28 countries attended the Symposium and shared their thoughts, researches, and practical applications relating to Digital Earth vision. The Symposium was hosted by the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE), EUROGEO is a member, which aims to spread the concept of Digital Earth by providing an international platform for exchange. Ocean Literacy Newsletter   

The first Sea Change newsletter has been published by the Horizon 2020 project looking to raise awareness and promote ocean literacy in education and to citizens . The newsletter will published every six months and is archived on the Sea Change Project website. Download the newsletter (10Mb)
