Hi everyone!

This week I started reading Huxley's Brave New World. I think this book has been sitting on my "to be read" list on Goodreads for about three years.

I've been consciously making an effort to stay away from dystopian fiction through Covid but I couldn't pass Brave New World on my shelf any longer.

I'm really enjoying it, maybe even more than Orwell's 1984. Got any similar recommendations for me? Let me know

Vulnerability & Power

Brene Brown & Russell Brand on Vulnerability & Power

I know, I know... Russell Brand isn't for everyone. I have mixed feelings on his stuff but this podcast with Brené Brown on Power & Vulnerability was excellent. It's one of those things where you can take what you want from it and leave the rest. Worth a listen!

A Wordsmith's Time Machine

I came across this cool online version of Webster's 1913 dictionary. Bookmark this site and come back when you want to get old-skool fancy with your writing.

NYC Turns Into a Movie When it Rains

In 2019 photographer took a series of photos in New York while it rained and the images are like something straight out of the type of movies that make us want to leave our lives and start fresh in the big apple.

The photographer tweeted the images and you can see them here

"We are human long before we are anything else"

This is a great video from Swellendam, South Africa. Exploring how much of life now is based on our business and how that has essential become a competition and a measure of how we value ourselves.

If you want to save this video and watch it later, the link is here.

The Duality of Truth

I wrote a blog post this week on the duality of truth. I've been thinking a lot about the concept of there being two sides to every story.

I also believe now that there are two sides to every truth. You can read it here if you're interested.
