Seasons greetings from the WFSA!
Give the gift of safe anaesthesia this festive season...
Support our Fund A Fellow campaign! By giving what you can, you will enable more anaesthesiologists from lower income countries to access training, and improve outcomes for thousands of patients around the world.

Whether big or small, your support will directly help to fund each fellow's education and training. So please donate today.

Join the SAFE-T Network
Promoting safe anaesthesia for everybody - today!
The SAFE-T Network is an opportunity for individual anaesthesiologists to commit to advancing patient safety and the International Standards for a Safe Practice of Anaesthesia in their surgical team. Together we will raise awareness of the need for safe anaesthesia as an essential element of safe surgery, the lack of provision, and the need to take action, by advocating together and gathering data to “map the gap” in access to safe anaesthesia.
SAFE Training Course held in Malawi
The course was held in Lilongwe from 18th - 20th Nov 2016.

The WFSA funded a second SAFE Obstetric course in Lilongwe in conjunction with faculty from Malawi, Zambia and the UK. A total of 32 trainees from Lilongwe and the surrounding region attended the training with extremely positive feedback.
WFSA membership dues increase approved
From January 2017
At the General Assembly, held at the World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA) in Hong Kong, Member Society representatives approved a 25 cent per-annum uplift in membership dues. As of 2017 WFSA membership will therefore be $3.15 per member per year, offering extraordinary value for money.
Take action for patient safety!
Download Actionable Patient Safety Solutions (APSS)
To err is human, so let's put systems and processes in place to prevent human error from becoming fatal. The WFSA is proud to have joined the Patient Safety Movement, which has developed several actionable Patient Safety Solutions (APSS) that can be downloaded from their website and implemented today.
