Sound and traffic impacts:
Nov. 15 through Dec. 15, 2021

Estimated locations and dates for work activities are available for the week of Nov. 15, 2021, at portland.gov/filtration_activity.

There will be temporary lane closures and flaggers directing traffic along segments of Altman Road, Lusted Road, Cottrell Road, and Dodge Park Boulevard where crews are using vacuum excavation equipment to locate utilities.

There will also be geotechnical boring happening to gather information about soil conditions on private property at a few locations near the facility site.

There will be significant noise where work is occurring, typically ranging from 75 to 90 decibels (similar to the sound of a medium-sized tractor).

The field work will be limited to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The work is anticipated to take a few days at each location. No work is planned Nov. 24 through Nov. 26.
