First silo delivered and second silo delivery delayed: Traffic impacts expected TOMORROW

Delivery of one of the two silos needed for the Improved Corrosion Control Treatment Project was delivered May 12, 2021. The delivery of the remaining 50’ tall structure has been delayed and is now expected to arrive at the Lusted Hill facility, on the corner of Cottrell and Lusted Road tomorrow morning, Saturday, May 15. This delivery may cause traffic delays along Cottrell as the silo is maneuvered onto the Water Bureau property. Flaggers will direct traffic during this time. More details about this construction activity will be updated at portland.gov/ICCT_Construction

About this project

The Bull Run Filtration Project will remove Cryptosporidium and other contaminants from the Bull Run water supply, producing cleaner, safer water for the one million people who use our water now and for future generations. The project is required by the federal Safe Drinking Water Act and must be completed by September 30, 2027, per a bilateral compliance agreement with the Oregon Health Authority.
