HMECU Scholarship Program

Scholarship Update

Due to an overwhelming response, additional funds have been allocated for a 2nd and 3rd place winner.  In addition to the $2,000 1st place winner, we will now be awarding $1,000 for 2nd place and $500 for 3rd place. 
The remaining applicants will be entered into a draw for an iPad Mini.  Winning applicants will be notified by August 22nd.  Thank you to all who applied.

Senior of the Year Award, Economic Leadership

The purpose of the Hamilton Municipal Senior Service Awards is to honour senior citizens who have made an outstanding voluntary contribution to enrich the social, cultural or civic life of our community.  HMECU was a proud supporter of the Economic Leadership Award This year's award winner was Margaret Robertson from Waterdown. ( Left to Right - Deanna Basso, Marketing Coordinator for HMECU, Councillor Judi Partridge, Margaret Robertson and Mayor Bratina. 

Golden Horseshoe Motorcycle Ride for Dad

On June 14th, HMECU was a proud supporter once again of the Motorcycle Ride for Dad for the fight against Prostate Cancer. Our team was at the first poker stop greeting all the bikers with smiles and sweaters… brrr. Thank you to all who volunteered and supported such a great cause.

Bowling for Big Brothers and Sisters of Hamilton

HMECU supported the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Hamilton by hosting a bowling night for staff, families, and their friends. HMECU was able to raise just over $700 in support of a great organization.

Team HMECU Relay for Life

Team HMECU Family walked with pride in June at the Hamilton’s Relay for life, showing our love and support to those who have been touched by cancer. The team raised over $1400 and next year they plan to exceed that benchmark. Thank you to all who supported the relay. We look forward to showing our support again in 2015.
