Even though I'm not a big fan of winter, this is one of my very favorite times of year. This week we have new award winners for the Newbery, Caldecott and more from the American Library Association. And next week is Groundhog Day, which is my favorite holiday - click on the catalog linked covers here to place holds on groundhoggy reads!
We received grant funding for 3 different projects over the last few months, so we are at work adding garden related kits for checkout courtesy of the Chippewa County Master Gardeners and adding titles with diverse content to the youth collection courtesy of the Mayo Clinic EverybodyIN Fund. We also received funding through the United Way to install a permanent Storywalk© in Irvine Park so look for more news on that later in the spring!
