April ArtWalk

Friday, April 1, 6:00 - 9:30 pm
Saturday, April 2, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

April is always a fun month in the Village of the Arts! ArtWalk on Friday night will feature music at Firestone Gallery beside Hearts Desire. The southend will be rockin'! Come on by! And Saturday, April 2 is the annual Garden Walk. Gardens behind many of the galleries are spruced up and open for viewing!
Don't miss this fun annual event! Now in its 15th year, the Arts Brunch & Fashion Show is the highlight of the spring in the Village. Artists and galleries decorate the lovely garden at Motorworks and a sumptious buffet is prepared by the Village restaurants and culinary artists.
Tickets are still available and only $35! Call Hearts Desire to reserve your seat!  941-302-1069.  If you would like to order on line, tickets are $37 (sorry, there are fees) and can be purchased at
New Designs from Hearts Desire
I have been really prolific since I cam back from the Tuscon Gem Show! Here are some of my new designs showing the wide variety of beads and stones that I use. To see closeups of these unique designs and prices, visit the links listed.

The necklace in the upper left corner is comprised of ancient Roman Glass, wire wrapped with iridescent crystal cubes.

Upper right design shows a handmade polymer clay pendant by California artist, Julie Picarello, and gorgeous top drilled pink Peruvian opal.

Middle left is hand painted porcelain pendant showing a scallop shell by Virginia artist Gay Lord that I combined with more wire-wrapped ancient Roman Glass, small spacers of lapis lazuli and coral and other small accent beads.

Middle right shows a pendant of carved stone fish and various green jaspers and jades with petrified wood and other stones.

Lower left is a Special Treasure design featuring many different elements suspended from pewter links. The center piece is a turtle featuring inlaid abalone shell, flanked by fresh water pearls, onyx, crystal, quartz, pewter and carved bone.

And last, a beautiful combination of a polymer clay pendant by Sarasota designer, Kim Hale, in a 2-tiered design of purple jade, amethyst, shell, coral and polka dot painted beads.
