Soft Landing Opportunities Through
Venture Bridge Florida

WASHINGTON DC: Enterprise Florida, the State is Florida’s economic development team, Venture Hive, and the National Entrepreneurship Center have launched a first-of-its-kind program to help foreign investors prepare for U.S. market entry in Florida. The Venture Bridge Florida program was announced at the SelectUSA conference of Department of Commerce (see accompanying story). Other partners include the Association of Sister Cities of Florida and the Florida Business Incubator Association (FBIA) and more than a dozen Florida-based sites.

Venture Bridge Florida is a “soft landing” program that offers a first-ever virtual training program to prepare foreign companies for U.S. market entry through Florida. This initiative will be the first program internationally to offer virtual training on market entry before enterprises begin operations in the United States. Venture Bridge Florida targets proven job-creating companies with $500,000-$20M in sales with a clear understanding of their customers and market opportunity.

“Florida is the best business state in the nation and the ideal place for foreign investors to establish a business and create jobs,” said Governor Rick Scott. “Our commitment to helping businesses grow by eliminating taxes and making Florida business-friendly makes this a welcoming state to international business leaders, and this new program makes it even easier for them to establish their first U.S. operations in our great state.”

“Florida has long been the U.S. gateway to Latin America, and the state is increasingly recruiting businesses and investment from around the world,” said Florida Secretary of Commerce, Peter Antonacci, who also serves as CEO of Enterprise Florida. “This new program makes the state even more compelling to foreign investors who are looking to enter the U.S. market.”
