For more information on all events, please click here. We encourage you to participate in commemoration events showing our deep appreciation to Pearl Harbor survivors, along with WWII veterans and their families, for their service and sacrifice, as well as honor those that continue to defend our freedom.
Along these lines, in honor of Veterans Day this Friday, whether you are working or have the day off, please take the time to say “thank you” to veterans and active soldiers in uniform. Click here for a listing of Veterans Day events in Hawaii and ideas for honoring our veterans. We cannot forget the sacrifices that have been and continue to be made every day to protect our country and our freedom.
This freedom also includes the right to vote. The nation has decided on a new President – President-elect Donald Trump, the state has elected or re-elected Representatives and Senators to our State Legislature, and the City and County of Honolulu has re-elected Mayor Kirk Caldwell.
Now is the time to heal, unite, collaborate and work together to find solutions to our issues so that, together, we can reaffirm faith in our democracy and the livelihood of our counties, state and nation.
Laulima & mahalo,
Sherry Menor-McNamara
President & CEO
