President's Message
Aloha Chamber members:
Next Wednesday, on October 26, the Chamber, in partnership with the City and County of Honolulu and SBA, and in sponsorship with INNOVATE Hawaii, is hosting the 3rd Annual Small Biz Academy, a half-day of workshops covering a variety of topics designed to help business owners start and grow their businesses. Luncheon keynote features La Tour Bakehouse and the Kauai Kookie Company, both successful family-owned businesses. Register before Monday by clicking here.
With 80 percent of our membership comprised of small businesses, supporting and providing these businesses with useful resources is important, particularly as they serve as the economic engine for our state.
To better understand the needs of small business, the Chamber has partnered with the Federal Reserve System to survey businesses. Please take the survey by November 23, 2016 by clicking here. Your responses will inform and gain the attention of service providers and policymakers, both of whom have the ability to make changes using real-time business conditions. This short survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Responses are confidential and will help to improve programs and services available for current and potential small business owners.
Finally, don't forget to vote On November 8 in this critical election. Early voting starts on October 25. Make your voice heard!
Laulima & mahalo,

Sherry Menor-McNamara
