After lots of constituents contacted me about huge difficulties getting an NHS dentist, I met with the Local Dental Committee and argued in Parliament for government action to save NHS dentistry (more here).

I worked with Walkley's newly elected Councillor Tom Hunt and local police to nominate a road in Upperthorpe for a Department for Transport pilot to trial an innovative new noise camera to stop nuisance vehicles.

After talks broke down, I pressed the Transport Secretary to work with employers to secure a settlement which offers rail workers a fair play settlement and no compulsory redundancies from changing work practices.
Hong Kong students
I signed a cross-party letter in the Times calling for British National (Overseas) visa holders from Hong Kong to be given 'home student' status for university, like refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine.
Cladding and Building Safety
I arranged a meeting between Wicker Riverside leaseholders and Building Safety Minister Lord Greenhalgh on funding problems in the remediation of their building - and spoke on Radio Sheffield on the 5th anniversary of the Grenfell disaster
I challenged BEIS Ministers on Government failures on home energy efficiency. and pushed for a serious retro-insulation plan to cut carbon emissions, fuel bills, and gas imports.
In a Westminster Hall debate, I made the case for a Statutory Gambling Levy to fund prevention and treatment for gambling addiction and separately argued for the problem to be recognised in the national suicide strategy.
I met with Refugees Minister Richard Harrington to press on problems constituents had been facing with the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
