Dear <<First Name/Nombre>>,

As this school year comes to a close, I have a lot to share with you. In order to make it easier for you to find what you're most interested in, you can click on the hyperlinked text and that will take you to each of the sections.

First, I want to share important resources about Summer Grab and Go CentersVaccinations Sites for Students, Summer Learning Opportunities for Students Receiving Special Education Services and the details about the Town Halls where you can learn all about the Fall 2021 In Person Return.

Today, at the Board of Education, I'm introducing a resolution that will ensure that every school campus has a full-time, five days per week, school nurse to care for the well-being of students and staff upon reopening.  And, where no qualified applicants are available, a full-time, five days per week Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or an appropriately trained medical paraprofessional shall be employed. and receive technical support by an RN assigned to the site’s local Community of Schools until such time as a full-time school nurse can be hired.  Board meeting agenda

Also, at tomorrow's Board meeting, we will be honoring the team from North Hollywood High School that won the National Science Bowl!

I so enjoy this time of year because of Graduations, and the opportunity to celebrate our Retiring Principals.

Finally, I want to share information about our Out for Safe Schools campaign designed to identify LGBTQ+ allies in our schools and I have great resource for you to learn more about our new federal holiday: Juneteenth.

I hope you get some rest this summer!
Scott
