Spring Greetings from Vasa, Finland!

The first quarter of 2016 has passed and for most of us high season is just around the corner with all that that entails. For others high season has just ended and winter is on it's way, it all depends in which hemisphere you live.

Everyone at Hogia Ferry Systems has been really busy for the first three months of the year. Development of release 2016-R2 has been done, our sales department has been flying around the globe visiting prospects and clients, and our support and after sales team have been working with our existing customers, helping in any way we can to get you all ready for the high season.

The CAT is back!
In the summer of 2016, our client of 11 years, Bay Ferries will start operating the route between Maine, USA and Nova Scotia, Canada.

There will be one departure per day in each direction and at 185 nautical mile the crossing will only take 5.5 hours! The Cat can take approx. 700 passengers and 200 passenger vehicles.

The new route can be booked online and via the call centre from mid-April onwards.

Hogia connects London buses in the future

How can IT systems make bus travel more efficient to use and more attractive to the passengers?

The EU-project EBSF2 has been launched to answer this question. The project brings together companies and public sector organisations from all over Europe. It is now ready to leave the laboratory and embark on field trials.

Transport for London's bus operators will be the first to take part in a field trial, and Hogia is supplying the platform that integrates the individual systems.

BOOKIT Conference 2016
We are delighted to inform you that we have decided on a date and place for the BOOKIT Conference 2016. This will be the 14th time we arrange the conference and very much look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

This year's conference will be held from the 5th of October to the 7th and we will be located just outside of London.

We will send invitations to all clients and partners during April so keep an eye open.
Release 2016-R2 out soon
We are finishing up the work with our next standard release of BOOKIT. The development is done and we are finalising our tests. The release will be made available mid-April to all BOOKIT clients.

The release will include many interesting standard functions like 'check-in kiosk' application and Bulk message to BOOKIT in house users

When the release is launched we will send you our Product Newsletter and make the release notes available on our customer portal.

During 2016 you have the chance to meet us at a few different events. The next one will be the Shippax conference held April 13-15 on-board Tallink Silja's Silja Symphony.

Representing Hogia Ferry Systems on board will be MD Niclas Blomström, Product Manager Johan Stolpe and our International Sales Executive Meri Rigby.

This year the MD from Hogia Terminal Management Systems, Kicki Bjurström, will hold a presentation called "
Keys to Efficiency - Terminal Freight Operator" on the 13th of April.

Hogia continues to grow
2015 was another strong year for Swedish IT company Hogia. The company had positive profits for the 25th consecutive year.

Hogia's strongest growth in 2015 was in public transport systems. Software from Hogia now provides travel information to 90 percent of all public transport passengers in Sweden. The six biggest public transport authorities in the Nordic countries - those responsible for public transport in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, Västra Götaland and Skåne - are Hogia's customers.

Vaggeryd combi terminal choose Hogia Terminal Management System
Vaggeryd's combi terminal want to be able to deal with larger volumes and therefore they have chosen Hogia as their supplier of a Terminal Management System. With the new system more tasks can be digitalised and automated - all resulting in a more reliable and efficient process.

Östgöta Trafiken choose Hogia
ÖstgötaTrafiken have chosen Hogia as their provider for real time passenger information and with this new installation they have shortened the time it takes to inform passengers about disruption in the traffic.
