Dear Subscriber,

Melbourne's Lacrosse tower story, which went up in flames due to non-compliant aluminium cladding, has had a further development which caught our attention.

The article in The Australian Lacrosse tower owners to pay for flammable cladding fix suggests that "The 312 apartment owners of the Lacrosse tower will be forced to personally foot the bill to bring the 23-storey complex into compliance with Australia's building code and fire and safety regulations."

The UOAQ believes it is time to enforce compliance with Australia’s building codes, fire safety and building Classification regulations.
