ADDIS ABABA HIGHLIGHTED FINANCING FOR DEVELOPMENT

Secretary General of UCLG ASPAC, Dr. Bernadia I. Tjandradewi, joined the Conference and spoke at the side event on “Mobilizing Domestic Financial Resources for Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development” organized by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development in collaboration with Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA), KfW Development Bank and UN-HABITAT.

DELGOSEA STANDING COMMITTEE DISCUSSED THE NEW METHODS

A DELGOSEA Standing Committee gathered in Manila on 24 August 2015 to discuss several issues, including the new monitoring and evaluation framework, the proposed new format for the activity plan for 2016 and a new structure and charter for the network.

INKING PARTNERSHIP WITH BAPPENAS, KSI, BAKTI TO ESTABLISH KNOWLEDGE CENTER
|
|
UCLG ASPAC began its first partnership with National Development Planning Agency Indonesia (BAPPENAS), KSI (Knowledge Sector Initiative), and BaKTI (an NGO from Makassar) to establish the Knowledge Center for Indonesia. A one-day workshop was held in Central Jakarta on 27 August 2015 by the four parties that aimed to design criteria on smart practices to be replicated and to formulate a survey instrument to measure smart practices on the ground.

SMART PRACTICES FROM FOUR PLACES IN INDONESIA READY FOR REPLICATION
|
|
Four special pioneers from four different places: South Halmahera, Malang, Mamasa, and East Lombok, were presented at the abovementioned workshop. These smart practices have been identified to be replicated elsewhere under the Knowledge Sharing Initiative Project.
