Dear Bioneer,

25th  Bioneers Summit Bash:
Behind the Curtain

The 2014 Bioneers Summit program is live! We hope you’ll join us in San Rafael, California, on October 17-19 for this milestone year for both Bioneers and a world sailing into a perfect storm of tipping points. The Revolution From the Heart of Nature has begun, and it will be out in full force at Bioneers for our 25th birthday.
We sincerely feel this year's program is right up there with the best programs ever. For your ease, we’ve sorted the program into 13 topic “tracks” to help you see the trees for the forest. What you’ll find in each of the conference tracks »

Over the next three months, our stellar program directors and others will offer their perspectives on tracks including Ecological Food & Farming, Indigenous Knowledge, and Resilient Communities. First up: Nina Simons with Women's Leadership track highlights.

Explore Gender & Reclaim the Feminine at Bioneers 2014

Since 1996, we’ve featured conference programs about topics designed to:

  • inspire and encourage women’s leadership
  • liberate women and men from outmoded gender roles
  • reclaim what’s useful about the essence of the masculine and feminine within us all

The program this year offers a bouquet of sessions, all designed to explore edgy conversations and articulate complex identities in practical and evocative ways.

Send a Young Leader to Bioneers

“Bioneers has played a considerable part in making me who I am. The community of mentors and amazingly inspirational people at Bioneers have shown me…how one can be both their best and do the best for the world around them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to have this experience.”
-Taysa Mohler, Trashion Show, Truckee CA, Age 16
For our 25th birthday, we want to make the inspiration and professional connections of Bioneers more accessible than ever by raising $250,000 to fully fund all scholarship participants.
That’s about 500 passionate change-makers of all ages, races, and genders who would be able to take part regardless of their economic circumstances.
As someone who shares the Bioneers vision, you're the perfect partner to help us reach this goal. Pay it forward now with a gift to the Bioneers Scholarship Fund.
And if you’re a new Bioneers donor, the Pond Foundation will match your gift up to a total of $25,000, which means $50,000 for 100 full scholarships!

Radio Series XIV Sneak Peek
The 2014 radio series may be the best ever, in our less-than-humble opinion. This month, Kenny Ausubel gives you a sneak peek at four upcoming shows that bring a more holistic frame to any environmental dialogue and give your spirit a serious lift, too!

How to Create Award-Winning Radio
Radio is the perfect medium for Bioneers because so much of what we feature at the conference is the art of the spoken word. And after 25 years, our radio series is still our single biggest outreach tool. Ever wondered what it takes to build a radio series?

Bioneers Joins Forces with Marin County
Now that we’ve reopened offices in San Francisco, we’re excited to more deeply engage with the people of Marin County. Thanks to the nonprofit MarinLink, we’ve already started to connect with community leaders and envision the next 50 years with this forward-thinking county.

Communities Ban Fracking with Democracy
When a state judge recently upheld the right of two New York towns to outright ban fracking, it was a victory that Tom Linzey and Mari Margill of the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) might describe as changing the terms of engagement away from regulation to “the ground of democracy.” As Tom likes to say, “The only thing environmental regulations regulate is environmentalists.”

Local Learning Opportunity
Environmental Forum of Marin has two excellent upcoming opportunities to become an informed and inspired leader in the environmental and sustainability movements: their Master Class and Lecture Series.
