As we head into the last month of 2013, there's few new things to talk about.
As previously mentioned, I presented a paper at a recent seminar in Adelaide. My website has a new page which links to the paper.
With the temporary perfection period for transitional security interests soon to end, it is important that affected entities make sure they've taken appropriate action. If anyone needs advice, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
It's come around a little quicker than I'd anticipated, but as of 1 January I'll be registered for GST. Doesn't make much difference to my commercial clients, but unfortunately it means my rates will rise by 10% for private clients. Unless they get in early!
For the past 4 years I've run a Formula 1 tipping competition, the last 2 using the free, worldwide, online system provided by Autosport and Castrol. For the second year running, Kathy Lindsay has lead our group home and the celebratory luncheon will occur in early January.
Its a bit of fun and really easy to join in. With the sport up for some big regulation changes next year with 1.6 litre turbo engines, new energy recovery systems and a lower limit on fuel usage, it is going to be an interesting season.
Come February I'll send out an invitation to my eNews readers and hopefully we can build the numbers a little!
This month's feature photo
I like sunset shots - just ask Tricia! This one was taken in Fiji a couple of years ago at my eldest niece's wedding. The colours are pretty much as they were and the image hasn't been photoshopped or altered. Just one of those happy accidents, perhaps.
Cheers, merry Christmas and best wishes for 2014.
With many people probably only having a couple of working weeks left in the year and not returning until early January, I'll send out my next eNews in the second week of January. Thought I'd better let you know in case you thought you'd missed the next one!!
