Enjoy the fishing, enjoy the lime!

Come out this weekend to ‘Enjoy the Fishing, Enjoy the Lime’ at the 6th Annual Francis Nunes Jr Memorial Fishing Tournament & Seafood Festival, set for Saturday in the beautiful and historic Nelson’s Dockyard. The Captain’s Briefing is set for Friday evening from 6:30 pm onward and the competition kicks off early on Saturday morning for the fishermen.

By 2:30 pm on Saturday, all food and drink stalls will be ready and the grills fired up, awaiting the crowd for the after-fishing lime. Watch as the boats come in and offload and weigh their catch and then indulge in the splendor that is the Seafood Festival aspect of the tournament, with numerous stalls serving up delectable dishes of both the surf and turf varieties. Some of the culinary delights on offer include Lobster, Crab, Sushi, Fried Fish, Seafood pasta, rice and chowder variations and more, as well as fungi and other options away from Seafood. There will be plenty to drink as well, from coffee to wine to rum, including their famous EC$5 bar and specialty bars.

Once the fishermen bring in their catch, it goes up for sale at EC$12 a pound, so take advantage of the fish market there for the freshest fish you can find. Bring the entire family out as there will be lots to do for all ages, including activities to keep the kids busy, like tattoos and toy booths.

Get live updates during the tournament by ‘liking’ the Sport Fishing Associations brand new Facebook Page. See you there!
