Antigua & Barbuda is all set to celebrate the 34th Independence Day this weekend with a packed patriotic programme to match the significance of the occasion and highlight local cuisine, culture, and art.

The weekend welcomes some of your favourites such as Dress Day, Parade, Food Fair and more. November 1st is, of course, the big day; Antigua & Barbuda’s birthday, the day observance aptly begins with a Thanksgiving Service at Spring Gardens Moravian Church followed by Gospel Fest concert then later on a mega Independence Celebration performance with an impressive line-up of artists including Third World and Antigua's very own Reggae icon, Causion, at ARG. In lieu of November 1 public holiday; the Ceremonial Parade is on Monday, November 2 followed by the Food Fair then Panache and Stage Show, all at SVRG. On November 15th, all the celebrations culminate with the Independence Car Racing; see event line-up for full details.

Many restaurants and businesses are offering special menus, discounts and other offers to commemorate the day.  See which restaurants and bars are featuring mouthwatering Independence menus and drinks and stores that are offering the best sales and deals.

This year’s independence is being celebrated under the theme “Rebuilding with Unity and Purpose”.
