“The Greatest Summer Festival,” Antigua Carnival, is in full swing, and the non-stop revelry continues until Last Lap next Tuesday.

The festivities continue tonight with the LIAT Caribbean Melting Pot, followed this weekend by the Calypso Monarch Competition on Friday, Panorama on Saturday, and the Party Monarch Competition then Emancipation Watch Night on Sunday.

Carnival culminates with Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday (public holidays). J'ouvert morning kicks off at 3am on Monday, followed by the Parade of the Bands and Last Lap, closing off the celebrations on Tuesday— here are the parade routes & assembling points.

TRAVEL ADVISORY UPDATES
 
If you are traveling to and from Antigua and Barbuda, below is a list of updated testing and travel protocols you'll need to know with links to read more.

ANTIGUA & BARBUDA:
The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has updated its Travel Advisory. All persons entering Antigua and Barbuda, subject to any evidence regarding any new variant, shall be allowed to enter without vaccination. However, all those persons who are unvaccinated are required to submit to a PCR Test, no more than four days old, before boarding their flight to Antigua.


Testing:  Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre advised to commence the application for testing at least 7 days prior to departure date to facilitate an appointment for swabbing. More testing options can be found here.

UK: All remaining COVID-19 international travel restrictions for all passengers. Read the latest advisory here

USA: Before boarding a flight to the United States you will need proof of vaccination. Children under 2 years old do not need to test. More Travel Advisory details can be found here.

CANADA: Starting July 19, 2022: Mandatory random arrival testing resumes for air travellers qualified as fully vaccinated All COVID-19 testing for all air travellers will be done outside of airports. Read the full Travel Advisory here.
