ONCA update
On September 14, 2017, the Ontario government introduced the Cutting Unnecessary Red Tape Act that includes amendments to Ontario's Corporations Act and the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (ONCA). This move wasn't unexpected. In June 2017, the Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN) informed their members that new legislation was being planned.
Ontario’s Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (ONCA) is still not expected to take effect for at least two years.

The ONCA website has a new section called 'Current law'. Containing information on Ontario’s Corporations Act, these pages may help you understand how the law currently applies to your nonprofit.
