As we all continue to move forward day to day with the uncertainty around us we continue to give our thoughts and prayers to those that are dealing with the coronavirus (COVID-19) directly. We are continuing to focus on you, our partners, as well as the needs of our staff daily, to keep things as normal as possible.
We are still working to push our orders as timely as possible and everyone at PTG is healthy. Our inventory of the core products remains in good condition. We are taking as many precautions as we can to maintain the health and safety of our team. We also do not want to contribute in any way to the spread of this virus. Because of the mandates to not have more than 10 people gathered at any time, we know our capacity will be reduced. To do our best to manage that we have decided that until our national, state and local governments can give us the all-clear, we have suspended the 24-hour rush and 2-day rush options production. Should other steps need to be taken we will update you as soon as possible.
Here are some of the precautions we are currently taking:
Outside Visitors / Staff - We have eliminated all visitors and outside staffing and working with only our core team to keep us as safe as possible.
Deep Cleaning - We took the weekend to perform a deep cleaning on our entire building and will continue to do that regularly.
Shift in Hours - We are widening out our shifts to have fewer people around at the same time. We are also reducing our team's hours to eliminate any overlap. We are limiting each department to a small number of people during each shift. There will be no more than 4 to 6 per area. Production will work in the morning and shipping and quality control will work in the afternoons.
Daily Cleaning - Each department has been disinfecting all of the surfaces of the workspaces they are using at the beginning and end of each shift.
Closing Early - Any time we are able to get all of the orders out for the day that we have committed to, we will close early. Also, all staff that is not directly needed in the office will be working from home, including the customer service team.
Employee Ownership - We have also let all of our team be empowered to make the best decisions they can for themselves. If they are not comfortable working at this time or unable to come to work due to child care, etc. We respect that everyone has a different view of the situation. We have let them know that their jobs will be here when we get through this.
We are approaching this situation with extreme caution and are doing everything possible to provide a safe work environment while maintaining our commitment to you, the partner. We cannot express how appreciative we are for everyone’s help in making this possible, working with us to overcome challenges and continue to run your business so we can succeed together. We will do our best to provide updated information as often as needed.
